Tailas

Tailas are prepared by boiling oil with the drug juice or decoction and drugs paste. If specific part are mentioned, the paste of  drug is  kept one  fourth of the oil and the liquid is kept four times of the oil. If any liquid is not specified in the formulation, water is incorporated. 

               Method of Preparation

The preparation method of tails is same as the ghrits. 

Their colour, odour, and test will be of the 

Incorporated drugs and their consistency will be of oil. If sufficient amount of milk is added in the preparation, the oil becomes thik due to ghrita, and also condens during winter. Tailas can be consumed internally and can also be applied topically. Their potency is maintained for sixteen months. 

They should be  consumed  with warm water or warm milk.
